Habitat for Humanity HRM is a community-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to building a community where everyone has a safe, decent place to live. The mission of the organization is to mobilize volunteers and community partners to build affordable housing and promote home ownership as a means to break the cycle of poverty.

ReBuild 2010
Habitat for Humanity HRM and the
Saint Leonard's Society of Nova Scotia are partnering to build community in a new way this summer. ReBuild 2010 will bring together our volunteers and skilled trades people to renovate two emergency shelters in Halifax. Learn more on our

NOTE: The Metro Turning Point site has been delayed and will now begin after August 18. Watch this site for details or click habitathrm.volunteerhub.com to visit our registration page and see as new shifts are added. The Barry House project has begun and is accepting volunteers.

CMHC Golf Tournament for Habitat for Humanity HRM
2010 CMHC Charity Golf Tournament raises over $31,000!
The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation held its 9th annual Charity Golf Tournament on August 25, 2010 at the Granite Springs Golf Club. This sucessful event raised over $31,000 in support of Habitat for Humanity - HRM.
A huge Thank You to the CMHC staff, tournament sponsors, golfers and volunteers for making this such a great success!

Congratulations to the ReStore, which has been nominated for a 2010 Bernie Award for Customers Favorite Retail & Service Location in Burnside. This is the fifth annual presentation of the Burnie Awards, presented by the Burnside News, recognize excellence in a number of categories.

Delta Hotels Raising a Little Hellp raises over $75,000
On June 2, Delta Hotels held its second annual Raise a Little Hellp event at the Delta Halifax. All funds raised will go to Habitat for Humanity HRM. Thanks to your support, the 2nd annual Raise a Little Hellp raised more than $75,000 for building homes in HRM. Delta will be the land sponsor for the purchase of land in spryfield for Build 2011. Delta staff and partners will also participate on site for ReBuild 2010.
