Congratulations Build 2009 Partner Families
On November 28, 2009, Habitat for Humanity HRM dedicated 4 homes in Spryfield. Congratulations to the Kalamatianos, Farmer, Nelson and Simms famiies. We wish you many years of happiness in your new homes.
Thanks to all the volunteers, sponsors and community members who helped make Build 2009 such a such a success. You have helped make a difference! A very special word of thanks to our Project Manager, Andrew Holley, who piloted us to a safe landing.

Are you in need of better housing?
A not-for-profit Christian organization, Habitat for Humanity HRM is dedicated to the elimination of inadequate housing by building homes in partnership with families in need. Habitat for Humanity believes in giving a hand-up and not a hand-out. Habitat partner families contribute to the construction of their own homes and then repay a long-term, no-interest and no-profit mortgage.
Habitat Partner families are chosen based on three criteria:
- A need for a decent, affordable house that cannot be met by traditional means

The ability to repay a no-profit, no-interest mortgage loan

The willingness to work in partnership with Habitat.
